Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using AuroraGRC ("Platform", "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Description of Service

AuroraGRC provides cloud-based compliance management software designed for Canadian organizations. The Service includes:

  • Pre-built compliance packs (obligations, controls, evidence workflows, templates)
  • Obligation mapping and assessment tools
  • Control implementation tracking
  • Evidence management and storage
  • Compliance reporting and audit preparation

Important Limitations

Not Legal Advice

AuroraGRC is a software tool, not a law firm. We provide technology to help you organize and track compliance activities. We do not provide legal advice, compliance consulting, or assurance services. You should consult qualified legal and compliance professionals for advice.

Not a Guarantee of Compliance

Use of AuroraGRC does not guarantee regulatory compliance, successful audits, or protection from enforcement actions. You are responsible for determining which regulations apply to your organization and implementing appropriate controls.

Account Registration

You must be:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Authorized to bind your organization to these Terms
  • Located in Canada or serving Canadian regulated entities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities under your account.

Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe intellectual property rights
  • Upload malicious code or harmful content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform
  • Reverse engineer or disassemble the Platform
  • Use the Service to compete with us or build a similar product

Your Content and Data

You retain ownership of all data, documents, and content you upload to the Platform ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide the Service.

We store Your Content in Canadian data centers and implement security measures to protect it. We will not sell or share Your Content except as described in our Privacy Policy.

Payments and Subscriptions

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance
  • All fees are in Canadian dollars (CAD)
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • You may cancel anytime via account settings or by emailing support@auroragrc.com

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: Our total liability is limited to the greater of the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $1,000 CAD. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including regulatory fines, penalties, or enforcement actions.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Toronto, Ontario for disputes arising from these Terms.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms by posting revised Terms and notifying you via email or platform notification. Material changes take effect 30 days after notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
